Rose Swag Pouch

Spring Cleaning my sewing room I decided to set aside some small pieces of tone on tone fabrics and lace as well as some ribbons that were left over from other projects, beads as well and a second pouch is now designed.

The overall size of these finished and lined are about 4.5 x 6.5 depending on the main fabric I have to play with.

I enjoy working with ribbon and want to start using different types of flowers as well as techniques.

Linda,
This is like a dream, what a nice pouch.
You inspired me to create one for my DD.
Thanks so much for sharing,

Sharon these little pouches are made from scraps of fabrics that are odd sizes, and some are made from larger ones. It is very easy to do. Just cut the size that you want to make. Do your embroidery or handwork to your own liking, then stitch sides and bottom. Add straps......then stitch a lining...stitch sides, leave top and bottom open. With right sides together you stitch around the top of the purse, slip the lining to the inside and slip stitch it closed. Say a prayer and pass it on.

Dear Linda . . . as the extremely fortunate recipient of this and the next prayer pouch shown on your blog, I want to thank you so much! It will be difficult to decide which one I will pass on to my daughter. She is anxiously awaiting the arrival.
Many thanks to the N.S. Angel.
Love,
